Lamis has been dancing and
teaching for many years, and it
has been a very important part
of her life! As both a dancer
and instructor, she wants to
share the joy she has found, by
teaching and performing, with
others.
In addition to numerous
performances on her own and
with various Dance Troupes,
she has attended many dance
seminars, workshops and
festivals, and was awarded the
prestigious "Aphrodite" award
for top dancer at the Oasis
Dance Camp. She was also
awarded the "Alternative or
Fusion Dance" award at Oasis
Dance Camp-South, in January
2009 for her Bellydancing Pirate
routine.
Affectionately dubbed the
“Queen of Veils”, Lamis has
appeared in numerous
magazines and in the Miami
Dade County Cultural Affairs
Council report on the state of
the arts.
